Cynffig’s Student Parliament
The aim of a Cynffig’s Student Parliament is to:
Bring together all student voice groups within the school under one umbrella organisation.
To maximise students opportunities to participate
To enable more students to take on a leadership role
Student Parliament Election Results 2017-18!
On Friday 6 October, Cynffig held its Student Parliament Elections.
A 172 pupils from 32 forms were nominated to run for Year Council
and 7 Year 12 pupils run for the Chair of the Student Parliament. A total of
89.3% of pupils voted on the day.
All pupils had to write their own manifesto and present it to their form class, who then voted for their favourite two on Election Day. The Year 12 Chair Candidates presented their manifestos to the whole school, pupils then had to vote for one candidate on Election Day! All Student Parliament members participated in a Training Session on Monday 9 October.
